This year we return to our roots with a big focus on bringing you the very best selection of of live and electronic music South Australia has to offer, alongside visual arts, market stalls, graffiti artists, workshops and roaming performers.

Established in 2021 from a deep passion for music diversity, Funk n Bass has grown into a vibrant gathering, for a wide variety of musicians, artists and their families to come together and celebrate what it means to be human. We are a family friendly festival, so bring the kidlets and enjoy some time away from the hustle with your loved ones.

 

With a focus on bringing love, joy, and connection to one another, Funk n Bass, is much more than a music festival. It is an opportunity to expand our creative networks, to evolve and to expand our conscious awareness through creativity, music and fun!

Every year, as our beautiful Funk n Bass community returns to the stunning surroundings of Hindmarsh Valley, our connection to the land and to one another grows stronger. Together we create a genuine sense of belonging — a place where people can feel inspired, accepted and free to express themselves authentically.​

 

We Put the Fun in The Funk

The pressures of life have been squishing humanity to our absolute limits in recent times. Our festival is here to help our community to release, let go and stop taking life so seriously. With activities designed to bring out the inner child in all of us, there will be a strong focus on comedy, uplifting music, and all round good vibes. We are passionate about creating a festival environment where people can genuinely have fun, feel safe and connect with others in meaningful ways.

Awareness

Since Funk n Bass 2025, we have sadly lost two important members of our community to suicide. In honour of them, and with awareness of the struggles many people quietly carry, this year we are placing an even stronger focus on creating a supportive, loving and connected environment where people feel seen, valued and safe to reach out.​ 

 

Creating a Conscious Festival Experience​

 To our Funk n Bass friends and family a conscious festival experience means creating an environment built on respect, connection and self-awareness. It also means being intentional with your choices — from consumption and pacing yourself, to making safe plans for getting home and recovering afterwards.

 

In alignment with this core value, we will have filtered water available on site for refilling water bottles, Nourishing food stalls available, first aid on site, chill out spaces, alcohol free zones for families. We also offer morning yoga, and a sound healing to close out the festival.

Funk n Bass will be a space where people can be playful, expressive and completely themselves — while still respecting the shared environment and those around them.​
